Sick Day

Took another sick day today after coughing my way through the night. I went to the dr in the AM and was prescribed that wonderful power of the Z Pack. Just as I was picking it up from CVS I realized I had this same damn cold last year!

Maybe on my next day off I will visit the allergist again

Good thing I was home for the arrival of the new computer. Thats right I am blogging from home!

Took all day to set up, but so far very happy with my Mac Mini and the $40 worth of accouterments I had to buy with it!

NEW COMPUTER ARRIVED

finally will have a computer at home!

Now I have to go buy a keyboard and mouse!

Sinus infection

I should have known I was getting sick. Last week or so I have had a scratchy throat and chalked it up to talking a lot more than usual. But Friday I couldn't get out of bed! I decided to take the day off and just lay in bed and sleep as the weekend was full of things. It was a wise decision. I did two studio tours yesterday and in the evening did Freedom Sings. It was the first time in at least 5 months since I have done a show and read a little more than usual, but really acted up and the band and crowed loved it.
I made it home at 1AM and got up on my own at 8:30 AM
so I think I am on the mend.
This morning was productive with getting HOBY things done, putting away laundry and cleaning up the house. Also made hummus for Danielle.
So here I am back at work getting ready to interview Pulitzer Prize winner Max Desfor.

Signs in the bathroom

I have a bone to pick with the person who puts up signs in communal places. You know who you are.
This person laminates a piece of stationary with large bold print in a "pretty" font that says both "Up Yours" and "HAVE A NICE DAY"
In kitchens these signs mostly read "KEEP AREA CLEAN SO WE DON'T ENTERTAIN UNWANTED GUESTS" which just means, put your dishes away so we don't get roaches.
Or the even worse "If you tinkle when you sprinkle be sweet and wipe the seat"
Are you kidding me?
